Mastering Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire's 'LIVE FOREVER' EP

"Like Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era crewmates, Brooklyn bully Mr. MFN eXquire has reveled in a boom bap-inspired style that is a combination of East Coast hip hop's various golden eras and MF DOOM's eccentric backdrops. The difference, however, is the eX is usually eloquently rapping about making a sexual example out of one's mother while simultaneously smacking her brother. After taking a brief hiatus, he returns with a new project (following up his early 2015 drop Live from the Danger Room), LiveForever.

Unapologetically Brooklyn (if you live in Crown Heights, then you'll recognize the guy in the intro), the seven-track project is a murky trip through the mad mind of one Hugh Anthony Allison. His free-wheeling style meshes well with the colorful backdrops provided by Hi Rez, Constrobuz, Darko The Super and more, and definitely should not be missed. Stream LiveForever below." (via 2dopeboyz.com) eX stopped by the studio this fall to work on his highly awaited EP "Live Forever". This is the second release we work on together, and I can't wait for what's to come in 2016. Jumping right away to the techie talk on mastering, a decent amount of EQ and limiting went into making this record one piece of music for all of you to enjoy. From noticeable low end (25-30Hz) filtering on songs like Nostalgia and Green Ranger to vocal sculpting with mid-side EQ on Blood On The Moon Parts 1 & 2 the approach from song to song varied because of the distinct styles in production all throughout the record, never the less, there is a consistent amount mid-side low end and lower mids scooping at around 90 and 250Hz and uppermids lift at around 4-5kHz.

Be sure you to check out this record if you haven't already here
